Hey y'all..

Not much to say today. Cleaning up this and that in the house and a few small draws and cupboards so that the house looks great when my sweetie man gets home next week. Plus the more I get done...the more I can just relax with him. Tho he keeps telling me I'm going too far...I need to rest. But I do...not to worry.
But I do have one question for everyone. How do you all get so many projects done so fast? I feel like I take forever to finish something. I wondered that about reading books also. I love to read, but it seems like it takes me forever to read a book. The book listed on my blog, I am still reading. So, what I want to know is whether you only crochet/knit at home...(or read if you do)...or if you do it whenever....like do you take it with you everywhere in a separate bag and carry it with you so you can crochet or knit while waiting for someone or the kids or waiting at the mall? How do you guys/gals get your projects done so fast. I really envy you. I would love some hints and tips. It seems, for example, one day someone shows a project started on their blog...next day it's done! How do you do it? I have so many projects I want to do but it seems like I'm just slow...or am I not taking good opportunities to work on my project. I'd love to hear from you all. Being as I'm getting close to or just about done with my kitchen and cleaning up things...I really want to invest my spare time in my yarn projects.
So, with that...I'm going to head to bed....looking forward to your answers...till tomorrow!

Well, let's see... I started knitting my sock in January and it's still not done! Guess you aren't talking about me, are you? lol. (I think the same thing about you! You're Speedy Gonzalez to me.)

Well, I'm in the lucky situation that I do only freelance work, which means there's often days, sometimes weeks in between different jobs. Plus I have no kids and "only" an apartment, one man and one cat to care for - naturally there's lots of knitting time possible in between. I'm forever grateful for that as I'm sure aware how much work others have to cramp into their life, of course knitting then can't take up the priority and takes a lot longer - and yet I'm stunned how many people, including you, can lead such a busy life and yet do so many beautiful knitting and crocheting projects so quickly!

I dont know if I have wrote this before or not but my secret is I take it everywhere I go. To doctors and hair appointments. I take it to work with me, exspecial on the days she was appointments that I cant go in the room with her, like the bank. I even take it to my sons baseball games. As long as I watch when he bats he dont care. Great son huh??? I have even taken it on field trips with me, like Monday it is a two hour ride to chicago and I will be crocheting there and back. I cant just sit I have to have my hands moving at all times. If people dont like you doing it that is their problem. But most general they will stop and asking what you are making and sometimes even compliment you on it. Plus you never know when that someone might be interested in buying something that you are making. Have a great day!!

Hi Lucy! I'm not sure I'm one of those WIP today, FO tomorrow...But I know I'm able to come up with more projects because I have a househelper most of the time (now she's on vacation) And unlike you, I dont have a sweetie man in my life :( I also have not gotten around into renovating any part of my house, so with you at least you have a big accomplishment to show for your time :)

Well I'm definitely not a WIP today, FO object tomorrow kind of person. I've got some projects I've been working on for years. I take a project around with me everywhere I go so I can knit a little bit when I'm waiting - doctor's appointments, hair appointments. Since we have our own business, I'll knit a bit here and there at work too. It still takes forever though, so you're not alone. I have the same problem with books. Unless it's short, it takes me forever to read a book.
