What..me..under pressure??

Okay, yinz guys...I have a decision to make here. Do I try to finish this wedding x-stitch for a june 30 wedding for my nephew or do I blow it off? So far this is my progress...

I think what I'm actually going to do is work on it without stitching in the names and then see where I am by the end of the month. With all the work I put into this, I may just keep it for my own wedding in whatever year that happens to be!!! (hopefully 1-2 years depending on my son's college progression) My problem is actually going to be that bottom swan part...that's the killer. Plus there are seed and petite beads all over this thing. But sometimes I work good under pressure. I did that with my niece's wedding ring quilt and it turned out fabulous! I'll keep you posted.

Now for your pleasure and enjoyment...here are some pics of our camping trip two weekends ago. Just sit back and enjoy the peaceful scenery...no explanations needed!

Till next time, yinz crazy guys....

great pics. where did you go? i love to camp. but unlike the previous comments, i do like tents. it doesn't feel like camping to me in a cabin. it does look cozy though. the pic by the fire sure looks inviting!!!

You know, you do have a year after the wedding to give the gift! But if it turns out half as good as my quilt it will be wonderful.

The camping pics. were great!

I think you have the right idea with the waiting to see how far you are by the end of the month.

I'd wait and see where you are at the end of the month; that way the pressure can still be on somewhat. For a beautiful heirloom I don't think anybody would complain about it being "late". You and sweetie man sure look to be enjoying the cabin.
It does look relaxing!

Just beautiful! The trip looks like it was so peaceful and relaxing. Don't knock yourself out on the xstitch. It looks very ambitious.

The sampler is looking great, Lucy. I'd keep plugging along on it and see where I was by the end of the month and as Alexis said, you do have that entire year after the wedding. Then again, the way its looking - man, it'd be soooo hard to part with, LOL!

Your camping trip looks so heavenly! I'm jealous, we'll be missing ours this year :(

HI Lucy! Great pictures. Looks like a great place. Who got the top bunk?
you asked about the sampler, so I'm going to answer it.. There is no way in h@## that you are going to finish it by the 30th. Even if you quit work and that's all you do. I'd say if you love it, make it for you and Sweetieman.
It's gorgeous as anything.
Though, now you'll probably try to prove me wrong. ; )
